A quick recap of our trip to Walt Disney World with the family.

We just spent 5 days in Orlando enjoying t-shirt weather and the craziness that is Walt Disney World. We were with my husband’s entire family and it was perfect. We had so much fun. This time around was so much better than my first time at Disney, so I’ll share some of my recommendations if you’re planning a trip in the near future. Today, however, I’ll do my usual round up.

I saw…

The best Christmas decorations and trees I’ve seen anywhere, matching t-shirts everywhere, people wearing shirts saying they “don’t do matching shirts,” characters everywhere, smiles, parades of bright colors, castles covered in lights.

I heard…

Christmas carols on repeat, families on the verge of meltdowns, so much laughter from my nieces and nephew, screams from the rides, the excitement of kids heading to the parks every day, fireworks, the beeping of scooters backing up.

I smelled…

Holiday treats cooking for the Very Merry Mickey Christmas Party, chlorine from the pool, sweaty humans in the monorail, air fresheners in the Ubers – some better than others.

I tasted…

Rum drinks in to-go cups, Mickey pretzels that the kids couldn’t finish, amazing meals at restaurants all over the park, gift shop wine at our nightly wine down time, beignets, everything at Epcot.

I felt…

Warm air, fake snow on my face, roller coaster flips and turns, exhausted feet at the end of each day, cold water from the Kali River Rapids ride, the hand of my niece as we navigated the crowds.
