July is here. We are in Vietnam enjoying the hot and humid weather and exploring every vegetarian option we can find in Hanoi (which isn’t too many). I’m joining this link up again because it gives me a great opportunity to jump on here and share a few things about the current state of life for me.

Reading Pete Buttigieg’s book and I’m loving it. I like him as a human a lot. I don’t think he has enough experience on large scale executive operations, but I think he’s got potential to be a big hero for the party in the future and I can relate with so much of what he says and does. I will say that my reading has fallen off a bit since leaving Bali because our schedule has been way different, but we are excited to jump back in and have more reading time in the next few weeks.

Enjoying Vietnam. The beginning was a bit rough. It was mostly food and heat. It was hard for us to find vegetarian because even if it says vegetarian, you sometimes end up with something that looks and smells like meat and you have no way to really know. Plus the temps in Saigon were in the hundreds with 98% humidity so we only went out early in the morning and after sunset. We have found our groove now and have fallen in love, but part of that love came from the struggles.

Finding all kinds of amazing humans on the internet. We have so many different travel bloggers we follow and bounce suggestions back and forth with – it has made such a big difference in our travels. We are also doing our best to join in with #plasticfreejuly and we have found some amazing social media accounts that share awesome ideas to help cut down on waste. Sometimes I get so annoyed with the internet, but right now, I’m in the heart eyes part of my roller coaster relationship.

Saving money. I know that seems weird because we are full time traveling right now, but being in SE Asia has made it incredibly affordable compared to any travel we’ve done in the US or Europe.

Tasting all the amazing kinds of coffees in Vietnam. We’ve had the traditional iced Vietnamese coffee which is a strong blend with condensed milk, the egg coffee which can barely be described as anything other than dessert and the coconut coffee. I cannot get enough of them and will probably need to figure out how to recreate when I get back to the US.

Also, don’t forget to take advantage of the Beautycounter promo that runs through July 5th. The Countermatch collection has been my go-to for skin care and this will give you the chance to try it out.

Shop using this link and help me donate more money to amazing causes in the countries we are visiting.

Tell me what you’re doing currently. Have you ever tried egg coffee? What are you reading? Seriously, I miss engaging comments and I’m going to spend some time this week commenting on posts. Happy 4th of July friends.
