Another trip around the sun complete for me. Since I’ve been a little absent on my corner of the internet recently, I figured I would celebrate my birthday by creating a list. My brain works quick and efficient that way. Plus, you get a full 34 thoughts from my brain and random facts, so it’s a win-win.

Green is my favorite color. It has never changed and I love every single shade of it.

I have never really figured out make up. It is very convenient now because I barely brought anything with me.

The last thing I googled was “how much fruit is too much” because that’s all I’ve really been eating since we got here and I can’t stop.

My family didn’t travel much when I was a kid, but we had great trips up the North Shore in Minnesota every summer and they are some of my favorite memories.

I could live on pizza and tacos. I will try any combo of weird toppings (as long as it’s meat free). My favorite recently has been putting pumpkin in either one.

Sunrise is my favorite time of day.

I touch my neck when I’m talking or thinking. I don’t know why, but I’ve discovered it while watching back my own Instagram stories.

There needs to be at least four books on my nightstand or Kindle to read at any given time. I stopped reading books that I don’t love, so I have to always have a back up. Plus, I like to be reading one nonfiction always.

I have an irrational fear of the ocean. Rip currents, tides, waves, not being able to see to the bottom. It is something I’m working on, but slowly.

My cure to any bad day is a walk outside, something with cream cheese and comfortable clothes.

I have one brother. We are five and half years apart and complete opposites. This means we didn’t really have much of a relationship growing up, but I love the family he has created for himself now and I love getting to know him.

Mail makes me extremely happy. I miss having a mailbox now that we are traveling.

I insisted on having a pool at the place we are staying in Bali, but I have not jumped in it once in the five days we’ve been here.

Stephanie was a very common name when I was a kid. I played on a hockey team once with three other girls named Steph.

I never go by Stephanie. If you said it out loud, I wouldn’t even respond.

Sunscreen is with me at all times, but I’m notorious for missing one spot. In Mexico, it was the back of my neck and I had to wear a scarf for a few days.

I played the piano and the clarinet growing up. I haven’t touched either in years.

Mix tapes are one of my favorite gifts to give. Now that my computer can’t even burn CD’s, I’m working on figuring out how to just gift playlists, but it doesn’t feel the same because I can’t write little notes in the case.

Being an aunt is one of my favorite things in life.

I have three scars on my forehead in a triangle from Chicken Pox. Kids used to make fun of me because they look like the holes on a bowling ball. One of them is fading now and it makes me a little sad.

My perfect temperature is high 60’s.

Birthdays are more fun when shared. My birthday is the same week as a few of my most favorite people in the world. It makes celebrating so much more fun when it’s a group effort. I’m not big on being in the spotlight alone.

I am currently on the trip of a lifetime traveling around the globe with my husband. I’m learning a lot about myself on this trip. There is a person that I thought I would become with more time on my hands. I’m discovering the things that I’m naturally drawn to because they make me happy and I’m starting to let go of the things I thought I wanted to be. It’s extremely liberating.

That was 34, right? Nope, but I’ll be lucky if anyone gets this far and is still reading. If you are still here, leave a comment (I miss when people did that.) Tell me something random about you.
