I’ve been wondering what life will be like now. I’m officially unemployed and living out life’s greatest dream of traveling with my husband. No mortgage, no loan debt, just a car payment (because not everything can go according to plan). Only 2 months planned, so far, but a goal of at least a year. It’s all a little strange.

We have a whole website that I’ve spent months putting together with Justin. We will share our travel photos, thoughts on places we visit, tips for anyone thinking of doing something similar.

Please please please go check it out and follow along.

But I still have this blog. I love having a place on the internet that is just my thoughts, opinions, recommendations and then sometimes my silence when life is busy and I don’t have time.

At first, I thought I would just archive these posts and focus my attention on the Tumbling Nomads. Having multiple instagram accounts seemed a little too extra and too much to keep up with. Then I realized that I’m in charge of all of it and I have no schedule to keep and no one to report to – the beauty of being unemployed. Plus, my friend Steph commented and said to keep the classy account – come back when I feel like it.

I don’t know why I needed to hear someone else tell me that it was OK to just check in once and while. It was OK to not post for a few months and then share something because I wanted to. I’m so grateful she reminded me that it’s a very simple thing really.

I’m going to keep this blog, the instagram account that goes with it and the community that I follow here. I love seeing the books people read each month and now I’ll have so many more to add from my own shelf. I love seeing friends try new meatless meals and share the recipes. I love reading about the things that get people through each day – the skin care, the apps, the tricks and life hacks. I love reading the stories of life – kids, marriages, friends, travels, the things people share.

Even though our life is completely different from what it was a month ago, I still want to have a space to write that doesn’t need to be about travel and shared with my husband.

So thank you for reading here. Thank you double if you are also following along with The Tumbling Nomads because I’ll definitely be there more often in the beginning. Life is pretty spectacular right now and I want to be able to capture and remember as much as possible.

I hope you continue to read my thoughts here. They will probably be a little scattered, but hopefully I’ll have some strange stories to share and fun things I’ve discovered. And I will continue to have a place that is just mine on the internet.

Cheers!
