Currently...

August is here. Life has been insanely busy and awesome the last few weeks. I figured I would take a few minutes and check in with my monthly "currently" post. Also, I love that it's easy.

Currently, I'm...

Located in Minneapolis. I'm home for a work meeting and then Emma's wedding and I'm sooooo excited to celebrate all weekend. We had a blast in Nashville, so I can't wait to get the gang back together again.

Reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I grabbed it at the airport and flew through the first act. It's interesting reading it as a play. To be honest, my expectations were quite low, but I'm enjoying the story and it's fun to get a little HP fix.

Watching Idiot Abroad. My dad is obsessed with this show, so I watched a bit with him last night. I love Stephen Merchant and I obviously had to show my dad his lip sync battle with Jimmy Fallon. Also, I think I'll be watching the Olympics quite a bit over the next few weeks.

Eating Squash and Strawberries lately. I have put Squash in everything and it's amazing.

Anticipating an interesting adventure with the apartment hunt this month. We will be scrambling a little bit, but we feel pretty informed and prepared. Brokers, fees, high demand, new neighborhoods. It will probably end up being a post in itself.

Excited about my dinner tonight and my brunch tomorrow. I love visiting some of the favorites while in town.

Thankful for this amazing weather in Minnesota this weekend. 80's during the day and cooler in the evenings. The sun is out and I'm not sweating instantly when outside. Perfection.

Missing my dogs. I will see them again on Monday, but I hate being away from them for too long and I've been traveling quite a bit lately.

Now I just have to get through work so I can get outside and play. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend playing outside and enjoying weather.

  2. i have seen all the episodes of An Idiot Abroad so many times, they are never not funny. I love Ricky Gervais and Karl, and of course Stephen is hilarious too. I've never seen his lip sync battle so I will have to check it out. I still haven't read or picked up the HP book, not sure how I feel about the play format though lots of people are saying it's good, so who knows.

  4. I'm glad to see that you're liking the new Harry Potter book, too! It's getting such awful reviews and I'm sitting here like, "Hey, it wasn't that bad!" If you're comparing it to the seven books, yeah - it'll be disappointing. But, it's so easy to think of it as its own thing because it's in such a different format. I really enjoyed being back in that "universe" again. I'm already nostalgic for it.
