Jealous?

It's already Tuesday night. I don't know where this week is flying to, but I'm onboard and loving it. I had a great and very busy weekend. There are a few very high points.

1. We found an awesome bar in Williamsburg with sand on the floor, tiki drinks galore and surfboards on the ceiling. It was wonderful.

2. We saw STEVIE WONDER. That's awesome by itself... but there's more. Our out of town guests were heading up the escalator and got stopped by someone and received a free upgrade of our seats to the floor. It was a sold out show at the Barclay's Center and all he said was that the tickets were "compliments of the band." The show was amazing and he played for almost 4 hours. Mind = blown.

3. Spring showed its pretty little face all weekend. The sun was shining and it was so incredible outside. I put sunscreen on nonstop. I forgot how much I missed that feeling.

And that concludes the section of this blog where I make you jealous.

In other news, we have a quick trip home this weekend for a wedding. This means that I get a real midwest bloody mary and hugs from my nieces. I can't wait.

OK, that's all I got. My brain is maxed out and I still have to finish laundry, walk the dogs and make my 10 PM bedtime.

  1. I saw Stevie Wonder last year at ACL and he was amazing. I've never sang so much in a concert. Glad you're having a great week!

  2. That is a high quality mural right there. So what constitutes a "real midwest bloody mary?"

  3. Stevie Wonder sounds amazing.

I LOVE your opening photo. I'd be framing that and putting it on my gallery wall. LOL I love coming across stuff like that.

I always apply sunscreen to my face year round, but I too have missed the slathering on of sunscreen and the smell of it too. I did that a lot this weekend!

  4. Whoa. Jealousy is right. Your spring is looking very good and I can't get over the ticket upgrade for Stevie! My fiance is one of those conspiracy theorists who is convinced he's not blind, so I could conduct a half-hour class on the subject.

  7. That bar looks like such a fun night out! Williamsburg has the best little hidden gems. Awesome to hear about the ticket upgrade for Stevie - I'm still kicking myself that I didn't buy tickets after hearing how awesome the show was. That's why I jumped on The Rolling Stones. Not missing out on anymore legends.

  12. Loving that bar! (Yes, I'm super late with my reading.)

How freakin' awesome that you got upgraded seats! That happened to us once, but it was for NASCAR time trials (but having said that, it was the best way to watch NASCAR except for using it as a napping tool). Anyway, glad you loved Stevie too!
