Words of Wisdom

Trying to determine the best advice I've ever received is like asking me my favorite song.  It depends on the day, the mood, the situation.  Somedays, I need someone to tell me to suck it up and move on and other days, I need someone standing behind me giving me strength to stand up for myself.

There are a few things I remind myself of often and it helps put things into perspective.

Aside from those 3, my dad often tells me when I call to complain about something, "Don't sweat the small stuff, and it's almost all small stuff."  It's such an easy concept, but sometimes hearing it from my dad helps me let it go.

Last, but not least, I will admit that I watch these videos more than a normal person would.

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday.  I'm enjoying one final day of quiet and relaxation before I jump back into work tomorrow.

  6. I love the one about the daily details of life. Sometimes I am surprised by how happy I am if I take a second to appreciate the things I normally take for granted.

  7. Most disappointments in life come from our own expectations. That's hard to grasp but once you do, life is much better all around!
