It happened.  It was better than I could have ever imagined.  I fell harder in love with Jimmy Fallon (and so did my husband.)

Let me go back to Friday afternoon of last week.  I checked the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon page like I have every day for the last few weeks to see if the April dates were available yet to make reservations.  I missed out on the first month & a half of shows and I did not want to miss April.

Quick side note: You can get standby tickets the day of the show, but if you know when you’re going to be here or live near NYC, make reservations!!!!!!  Also, don’t plan on taking any pictures or even having your phone out during the show.

When I clicked on the calendar, I saw what I thought was a glitch because it was showing sold out on all dates except 2/25.  Now, I knew that this wasn’t the case on Thursday when I checked.  I clicked on it and next thing I knew, I had 2 reservations for the show.

We quickly got ourselves the afternoon off for Tuesday and there was a lot of screaming and giggling happening.  Apparently when I get super excited, I do push-ups?  My husband was so confused.

Fast forward to today, we got done with work and left for the city around 1.  If you end up going to the show, go to the NBC experience store at 2 no matter what anything says.  We sat in the 3rd row and it was all because we got there at 2.  The line wasn’t too bad, but be prepared to be standing around for a while.

Once you have your tickets, you are free to go until 4 so we got some food and dessert and did some people watching.  4:00 came and we found the gold escalator and were starting to really get excited.  We got inside and after another 1/2 hour standing in line, we were seated in the freaking 3rd row right in front of the Roots.

The show was amazing.  Jimmy Fallon is so fun to see in person.  The Roots are amazing.  Paul Rudd is freaking adorable and Shaq is the most gigantic human being I’ve ever seen.  The stand up comedian, Hannibal Buress, was hilarious.  My face hurt from laughing and my throat hurt from cheering.

We saw show #0007.  How cool is that?  Plus, they did the VERY FIRST LIP SYNC BATTLE on the Tonight show.  That is one of my favorite things he did on Late Night and we got to see it live.  So amazing.

Jimmy Fallon is a true professional and will have a great career in this business.  He seems genuine with all of his guests, his audience and his staff.  It was really fun to see the whole thing happen.  I would recommend this show to everyone.

All I have to say is that you are lucky I didn’t get these tickets a month ago, because I would have talked about him every damn day.  I’m still floating around my apartment because it was the best day ever.  However, I am trying to deal with the fact that I don’t have another date with Mr. Fallon lined up, but we did touch hands.  I guess taking it slow is best.
