I had a weekend that actually deserves a Monday morning recap.  Here is a list of all the things that made this weekend almost perfect:

1.  The weather.  50 degrees in February is perfection to me.  The sun was shining (don’t worry, I had sunscreen on) and we spent as much time outdoors as we possibly could.  And the time spent inside included views like this one.
2.  I met Carly Rae Jepsen.  OK fine, I didn’t meet her, but I did see her as Cinderella on Broadway and she did fantastic.  We also were lucky enough to see Fran Drescher perform as the stepmother.  Such a good date night.
3.  We took the dogs to a new dog park and Lola discovered a new love for playground equipment.
4.  We enjoyed beers (and there might have been a shot of fireball.)  OK, there was shots of fireball because we were celebrating our awesome weekend and we discovered that our shot glasses were different sizes which earned us an additional shot from our lovely bartender.
5.  We found a parking spot in Hoboken.  This is something we’ve been failing at since we moved here, so we were beyond excited yesterday when we actually found a spot on the street near our final destination.
6.  I bought 2 new BBW candles for $22.  The apartment will smell like tropical places in no time.
7.  I actually ran this weekend.  Plus, I discovered that my buddies, Samantha and Nikki, are using the same app I am and we are all starting at the same time.  This means I have a much better chance at sticking with it.  Oh and whoever added fans to treadmills is my new best friend.
8.  We had a scheduled Saturday morning FaceTime date with one of our best friends back home.  I think living far away would be much harder if I wasn’t able to see my friends weekly via my iPad.  Now, I just need to get them to all come and visit.
9.  We made an ice cream/candy run to CVS last night and I don’t feel bad about it.
10.  I GOT TICKETS FOR JIMMY FALLON (well, kind of).  Yes, that happened on Friday afternoon.  I’ve been watching the website like a freak after losing my opportunity to get March tickets.  When I checked Friday, they were showing openings for this week!!!!!!!  I think we snatched up the only 2 spots that they had.  I have a 1/2 day Tuesday now so that I can wait in line and get myself a nice red chair to watch my favorite person LIVE in the flesh.  I will probably cry if they don’t let me in, but I’m trying to prepare myself for that since they overbook the shows.  Wish us luck and set your DVR’s.  I’m sure I’ll be talking about it a lot more this week.
So, there you have it.  An almost perfect weekend.  Things that would have made it perfect include french toast, a family visit, the USA men’s hockey team winning a medal, winning the lottery, world peace.  You know, the usual stuff.  Now, it’s time to prepare for the cold that is coming back.
