I am currently somewhere between my old home and my new home with a car full of dogs, our stuff and us.  So, today I will finally post the rest of our pictures from San Francisco.  Crazy to think that this big move had just become final before that trip (just two months ago).

If you missed the first few days of the trip, you can find that here.  We headed out the third day to explore the city and started with the Golden Gate Bridge.  We were lucky enough to have a pretty clear view.  I think it’s absolutely beautiful and the views were fantastic.

We got ourselves tickets for the tour of AT&T park.  I can’t rank that field yet because I’m the dummy that planned our trip around baseball and then made the mistake of misreading the Giants schedule.  Real cool.  I guess we will just have to head back soon to see a game.  I made up for it by treating myself to a watermelon delight at the 21st Amendment brewery.  I will forever take Alexa’s advice on anything.  That beer is my new favorite.

I would recommend that tour to anyone – even if you aren’t a huge baseball fan (which I don’t understand.)  Once we were done with that tour, we did a little more exploring and found our way to the most famous houses in San Francisco (especially for children of the 90’s) and the Haight/Ashbury neighborhood.

We called it an early night (after another meal of fish tacos.)  The next morning we got up and headed to the island.  We did the full tour at Alcatraz.  We were on the first ferry that day which was the best decision we made because when we left, there were people everywhere.

I snuck in some food other than fish tacos, including the pizza place that Chris & Heather said was the BEST.  They weren’t kidding.  I still can’t believe how many times I ordered fish tacos on this vacation, but I would ask everyone what their favorite thing was on the menu and I kept getting that answer.  The pizza at Tony’s was a good break from that (plus they had 21st amendment watermelon beer.)

We took the cable cars around town for a while too.  It’s one of those things that you just have to do.  I wouldn’t recommend catching it at Fisherman’s Wharf area though because the wait can be a little crazy.

That night, we went to Lands End park to get a peek at the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.  It’s number 4 on the 30 Before 30 list.  I don’t know that I can cross it off quite yet.  It was really cloudy, but it was a worthwhile trip because it was a beautiful evening and I’m glad we got to that part of the city.

I love the west coast and I can’t wait to plan another trip there, but for now, I’ll just be dreaming about California because I have an east coast adventure waiting for me.  Did I miss anything in San Francisco?  Which coast is your favorite?
