Another great weekend with a wedding, a baby shower, a friend’s brand new house.  So much to celebrate. So many happy people.

Friday night, we went to see Brady & Kelsey’s new house and enjoy a few beverages in their screen porch (I’m a tad jealous).  There were a lots of laughs, some really good pizza and some quality times with the pups.  Plus, we got some cookie cutters to use this Christmas.  They know my husband so well.

I can’t even get over how beautiful the wedding was on Saturday night.  Erin and Nick looked soooo happy. And the masks at the table…  this picture below is my husband and one of my best friend’s moms.  I had so much fun at the wedding that I was in bed at 8 PM Sunday evening.  Those girls sure do know how to party.

It finally hit me this weekend how lucky I am to be surrounded by these people and how much I’m going to miss them when we move.

Sitting at the baby shower yesterday, I realized that I might not meet this little baby until he’s through his baby months.  He might be a walking toddler before I get to meet him in person.  How crazy is that?  The last two months have been a little bit of a whirlwind.  I never pictured in July that I would be living in a different part of the country in November.

Emotional roller coaster doesn’t really describe it because most of the time, I’m excited.  But without fail, there are 5 minutes every day that I’m completely overwhelmed and stressed out and there are 5 minutes every day where I’m just sad.  Ten minutes each day… that’s nothing really. I’d be fooling myself if I thought that it is not going to get a little more intense with each day that passes.

I have to just soak it all in for the next 4 weeks and spend as much time with the lovely people as I can. Congrats to Nick & Erin on this brand new chapter of your life.  Congrats to Jason & Kirsten on the baby boy that you will get to meet before Christmas.  Congrats to Brady & Kelsey on your brand new home and your fenced yard for the pups.  Thanks for letting us share these big moments with you.
