Watch funny television, burn your favorite candle, make hot chocolate and mix in some caramel Bailey’s, jam out to your favorite song… these are things that I do when I’m feeling a little overwhelmed.  It has been a very good week, but also a little crazy.  We found a place to move last week and the lease is all signed.  Now it’s real and there is a countdown and that is a little bit overwhelming.  Reminding myself of the little things each day has been a savior for me.
Dinner on the Hudson in the financial district was amazing.  It was a great way to celebrate finding a new office, a new apartment and a new opportunity.  It was a wonderful way to spend our last evening in the Big Apple… until we move there.

Heading back to LaGuardia and realizing again… this is real.  We are moving to the land of bridges and tunnels.

Friday night, we had wine and pizza with my parents.  We introduced my dad to some new bands, but I snapped this picture of him while discussing some of the current pop culture phenomenons (read Miley Cyrus) and if you know my dad, you’ve seen him make this face before.

This candle is my absolute favorite ever.  If you haven’t been to BBW lately, please go smell this… NOW.  You should probably buy yourself one while you’re there.

This weekend, I also celebrated the upcoming wedding of one of my oldest friends with a Bachelorette party.  Penis decorations, glow stick jewelry, jock jams volume 1 (I love these girls) and an underwater themed party bus.  It was quite the evening.

Monday, we had a Segway tour through Minneapolis as a leadership event for work.  It was the most beautiful fall day and we had so much fun.  More pictures from that later.

Last, but not least, a bonfire… in our special bonfire ring.  We finally burned our paperwork that was in the shredding pile.  We just turned it all to ash in our backyard.  It was a little windy, but enjoyable anyways.
So think good thoughts and do good things.  That’s my plan for the next week – just taking it one day at a time.
