Happy Wednesday (well, Tuesday night, but who is counting?)  I found this article about the habits of supremely happy people.   I love reading things like this – just constant reminders of the important things in life to keep you in good spirits.

Here is my gratitude recap for the last week.  Lots to be grateful for, but the main theme for the last week is old friendships.  I was lucky enough to catch up with some of my long time friends this week.

These are my girlfriends from high school.  Erin (the one on the right) is getting married in early October and we had a Thursday evening wedding shower for her.  It was such a good night catching up with old girlfriends.  I laughed so much and realized how lucky I am that these girls are in my life. I may not get to see them often, but it’s always fun.
We spent Saturday night at the Firkus Fall Festival and I was able to catch up with my friend, Jamie, plus I was able to finally meet her boyfriend, Nick, and their adorable Boston Terrier, Duke.  They live in San Francisco and we weren’t able to meet up with them when we were out there, but it was fun to catch up back in Minnesota when they came home for a wedding.
Spending the week in Milwaukee is a little better this week.  Not only is my husband my travel partner this week, but Katie is working in Milwaukee this week and we were able to meet up for dinner at Ugly’s Pub.  It was fun catching up and hanging out with her just like we would at home, but at a brand new place in a totally different city.  We’re working on a plan to get to the Brewers vs. Cubs game before we head home.
The rest of our week included a few other special moments.  We had an awesome Build-A-Bear date with our niece, Madelyn.  I enjoyed a Strawberry Abita when I returned home from Milwaukee last week (and clearly had a staring contest with Quincy.)  And, last but not least, my brother’s girlfriend made us an order of PB&J cupcakes and they were AMAZING.  You can like her page here and see what else she makes.
Come link up and tell me what you’re grateful for.  I know that some of you out there are insanely grateful for fall and all the things that come with it.
