Gratitude is a Practice (Insta-Gratitude Week 29)

We have made it to the middle of the week and we are in the middle of a heat wave.  I am very lucky this evening that I have an air conditioned house.  I'm also grateful for the sunshine that I will miss 6 months from now when the days are shorter and the temperatures are freezing cold.  Being aware of those little things... it's what I talk about every Wednesday.

Here is my last week of #dailygratitude pictures from Instagram (@stephgregerson).  This song goes with the first photo, but I also think it fits.

Last Wednesday night, I stayed out past my bedtime and saw Dawes at First Ave.  There were so many amazing moments during that show so it was hard to pick one thing to be grateful for.  They played all my favorite songs, we were able to see the stage, they were grateful for the audience (which always makes me love a band more) and I was with a few of my favorite people.  See??  Lots of things.

I LOVE mail.  Thursday, I received this magazine in the mail.  10 more road trips to add to the epic list.  Friday night, we had dinner with J's parents on their deck and getting to spend some time with them and their boxer Tyson was perfect.

Yeah yeah yeah, I always say that I'm grateful for the city I live in, but on Saturday, we actually spent the morning being tourists in our own city and it was wonderful.  On our list of things to do this summer is to actually tour the state capitol.  Sunday was the Color Run and I was so happy that Rick & Leah came to town to do it with us.  They live a couple of hours away and have a busy summer so it was extra fun to spend some time with them.

The times they are a changin'.  Yes, you are seeing these pictures correctly.  I am sincerely grateful for healthy things this week.  I got brand new running shoes and I've logged 3 miles on them so far.  Love them.  Then, tonight, we walked into the grocery store and we were greeted with fresh fresh produce.  YAY!  Win for us.  We left with Udi's pizza, wine, watermelon, grapes, sugar snap peas, celery and peppers.

Also want to wish a very happy birthday to my brother's girlfriend, Jen.  If you want to see some awesome cupcakes and help her have amazing birthday, you can go love on her Facebook page Jen's Cupcakes.

I have an idea for next week, so link up today and then think about this challenge for next week because it kind of fits with the 7 days.  I'm going to look for something to fit each of those things this week.  Make sure to visit anyone else that links up.  It's so awesome to see what makes people happy and grateful each day.

PS: All I want to do is squish my face against Tyson's. That's not weird or anything, right?
