Another week, another collage.  It was a week filled with a nice little vacation, some new work responsibilities for Justin and another horrible tragedy in this country.  This spectrum of emotions is life and it is being a human.

It is weeks like this that I remember my purpose for documenting these moments of gratitude each day.  Taking a minute or two each day to take photos of things that are happening and reflecting on those at the end of each day to post one has become a special time for me each day.  It’s the little things in life that we sometimes take for granted.  Here were my little things in the last week:

1.  A cupcake ATM.  I had heard about these before, but having one just a block from our hotel was a whole different story.
2.  Visiting Wrigley Field for my first time.  Epic.
3.  A treat yo self Saturday complete with my first experience with Lush, key lime cheesecake while in my pj’s watching the Campaign and my first bellini.
4.  This quote from Fred Rogers which reminded me that there are good people in this world.  Thank God for the helpers.
5.  Winesday last week.
6.  My dogs.  I’m obsessed. I had food in my hand and I’m holding one of them in place.  It’s rare that they take photos together.
7. The view from the Hancock building of Lake Michigan.  Beautiful.

Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer.  And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.  – Maya Angelou, Celebrations: Rituals of Peace and Prayer
