It is officially the last day of winter.  It is 9 degrees and it snowed a ton the last two days.  I need some tulips in my life.

Caution – ranting starts now.

I had the longest Monday EVER yesterday.  My dog knocked me down my stairs yesterday morning which resulted in a day long headache and a rug burn on 3 of my knuckles.  Work was tough yesterday.  Lunch was disgusting.  Justin also had a bad day, so the ride home was quiet and miserable.

We got to the grocery store and things started to look up.  We bought ourselves some sugary cereal including Cap’n Crunch and Lucky Charms.  We get to the parking lot and I put the cart away.  As Justin is driving to pick me up, a lady backs right into him.  I watched the whole thing.  He was honking and she just kept going.  Best part was when she got out of the car and yelled at him – “did you not see me backing up?”  Listen lady, the person driving down the lane has the FREAKING RIGHT OF WAY.  You don’t get to just back up whenever you want.  Also, you might want to turn your radio down a little so you can hear our loud ass horn telling you to stop driving in reverse.  No damage, but seriously.

We get home and decide to forget all the groceries we just bought and pop some pizza rolls into the oven.  Shoveling and laundry started, so I cracked a Strongbow and settled in to watch Real Housewives.  I hate Mondays.

Also, Kenya is crazy and just because a man isn’t turned on by your insanely large ego and your “stallion” booty – it doesn’t mean he’s gay.

Anyways, it’s Travel Tuesdays and I’m thinking about escaping somewhere warm.  Here is my list of dream spring break vacations.  One will be coming true next winter, so I’m super excited about that.  Hope this helps you slip away from the nasty weather… and if you’re one of those people not having nasty cold weather, please don’t tell me about it.

Tamarindo, Costa Rica – a beautiful little surf town on the Pacific Ocean that my parents have fallen in love with.  We are planning a trip there next February with a bunch of friends.  Can’t wait to immerse myself in beach life and possibly even pick up a surf board myself – even if I just lay on it and pose in pictures.

Bora Bora, Tahiti – I think this is on EVERYONE’S list, but it’s obvious why.  It looks like the most magical place.  Too bad it costs about $2000 for a plane ticket and takes about 2 days to get there.  It’s for this reason I wish I had studied abroad somewhere.  And seriously, how cool is the picture?

Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – I would love to go to South America.  I did learn that the word “ipanema” means stinky lake.  As long as I have a fruity cocktail to stick my nose into, I won’t have to worry about the stink.  I could spend a few days there and a few days at the Copacabana Beach.  I would be a happy girl.

Turks & Caicos – The Caribbean is another area of the world that I’ve never been.  I don’t know where exactly I would like to go there, but I’ve heard good things about Turks & Caicos.  This trip is also pretty realistic since it’s not too far in comparison to my other dream locations.  Maybe in the next 2-3 years we can check these beaches out.

I’m really hoping that my Tuesday turns out better than my Monday.  Also, I took a different approach to my NCAA bracket this year, so I feel good about winning.  Cheers to being 1/5 done with this week.
